- 100% Pinot Meunier from Boursault
- Sustainable viticulture, hand-harvested
- Aged 4 to 5 years
- Zero dosage, no added sugar
- Pale, intense and powerful
Demi-Lune by Champagne Le Gallais is a rare thing: a champagne made entirely from Pinot Meunier, the grape usually kept in the background. Here it takes the lead, and the result is full of character.
The grapes grow in Boursault, in a chateau that once belonged to Veuve Clicquot, and the wine is aged four to five years with no added sugar. If single-grape champagnes intrigue you, our Blanc de Noirs guide is a good companion.
Pale and delicate in the glass, powerful on the palate, it is one of the more distinctive bottles among our champagnes between €40 and €100.
How to serve it
Lovely as an aperitif, but it really comes alive next to comforting dishes: risotto, or creamy cheeses like mature Comte, Chaource or truffled Brie. Serve it between 8 and 10 degrees.
Why we chose it
Le Gallais champions Pinot Meunier in a way few growers do, and that conviction is exactly what we look for. As a no-added-sugar style it also joins our zero dosage champagnes. Discover more of their story in our notes on grower champagne.
