What is the difference between Champagne and Crémant d'Alsace ?

Champagne and Crémant d’Alsace are both sparkling wines made using the traditional method, but they come from different regions and use different grapes. Champagne is produced in the Champagne region and is typically aged longer, which can explain the higher price point. Champagne is mainly made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Crémant d’Alsace comes from Alsace, uses grapes like Pinot Blanc and Riesling, and tends to be fresher, fruitier, and more affordable—offering excellent quality at a lower price point.
