- Base vintage 2020
- Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Champillon, Avize & Oiry
- Low dosage, 2 g/l
- Citrus, white peach, brioche and chalk
Champagne Jacquesson 748 is a wine for people who love champagne with precision. Built around the excellent 2020 harvest, it captures the freshness and character of a single vintage instead of blending away its personality.
Made from grapes grown in Jacquesson's historic vineyards across the Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs, it is fermented in large old oak casks and bottled with minimal intervention. Rather than chasing classifications, the house focuses on blending specific vineyard parcels that best express each harvest. Elegant, mineral and beautifully balanced, it is one of the iconic cuvée of Jacquesson .
Tasting notes
Bright citrus, white peach and ripe pear lead into delicate brioche, toasted hazelnut and wet chalk. The low dosage keeps the finish long, dry and precise, making this an excellent match for oysters, scallops, lobster, sushi or aged Comté.
A wine worth keeping
Although already approachable, Cuvée 748 will reward patience. Over the next decade it will develop greater richness, with layers of toasted nuts, honey and pastry while retaining its hallmark freshness. If you enjoy champagnes that express both terroir and vintage, this is a bottle to discover now - and an even better one to revisit in years to come.
