Ut Prius is a Blanc de Noirs with a real sense of place. Made from 100% Pinot Meunier in Boursault, it looks back to traditional winemaking while keeping things fresh. The name says it nicely: Ut Prius, meaning “as before”. It's generous and full-bodied with just enough freshness to keep you reaching for another glass.
 
Tasting notes
On the nose, we found ripe peach, melon, honey and a hint of yoghurt, with a subtle sweetness reminiscent of childhood sweets.
 
On the palate, it is round and generous, with a gentle touch of oak adding depth without taking over. The freshness carries through to a long, clean finish, leaving the wine beautifully balanced.
 
This is the kind of Blanc de Noirs we love with food, especially roast chicken, creamy dishes or soft cheeses. Or simply pour a glass and let the Meunier do the talking.
 
Why we chose it
We love Pinot Meunier when it gets the chance to step out of the supporting role and take centre stage. Ut Prius does exactly that. It is a lovely example of how expressive Meunier can be. If you're curious about discovering a different side of Champagne, this is a bottle worth getting to know.
